Giving is AWESOME

If you haven't already seen the post on my bizness website, head on over there... it's my most important post of the year.

oh i know i have been neglecting this little blog... but i am trying to decide if i should just use my business blog for personal stuff too... since i seem to put it all out there anyway ;) hmmm, will decide after the holidays....

And since a post without a picture sucks, here is an awesome picture of Tweedledum and Tweedledee... the super double BFF duo. I had put curlers in their hair the night before and they wanted to dress similarly with their curly hair, hence the pink tights and flowery dresses. They were oh so excited to be dressed like twins (at least in their little heads they were dressed like twins)

After a morning like the one I just had....

where Presley and Jude both had meltdowns (Presley over what to wear, Jude over nothing at all)

I really really needed this!

Thanks Alice!

Some SEPTEMBER updates

Kaylee- so yesterday, she gets a referral from the bus driver and will have to go see the Principal tomorrow. Apparently she can't sit still on the bus, and hoots and hollers the entire way home and he just can't take it any more. A PreK student in the Principal's office. It's kind of cute in a way except for this- Jesse and I were discussing what kind of discipline the school would give her b/c we have the same problem with her in the car. She gets out of her car seat and tries to get the other kiddos out, all while we are driving of course and can't pull over. I have had her pediatrician tell her to knock it off as well as police officers... all to no avail. So I ask Jesse "Don't they have discipline specialists at the school that will know what to do?" He says " Yeah, they will call in their campus LSSP...which is ME" Ahhh, the irony of the whole situation.

Yesterday in general was not a good day for Ms. Kaylee. Caught her trying to turn the fireplace on and scribbling all over Emily's homework.

The good news is that in last weeks soccer game, she neither tried to run off the field, or started crying like she did in her first game! She actually appeared to be enjoying herself and just ran up and down the field with a big smile on her face. Here she is in that first game:

Emily
Emily started 1st grade! The girl LOVES school and can't wait to go every morning. Teachers love her too.,,they are going to be in for the shock of their life if they get Kaylee after they have already taught sweet Emily.

1st day of school

Emily is in dance (hip hop) and soccer. Up until last week, I didn't hold out much hope for her being a great soccer player, I thought dance was her forte. That is until she scored FOUR goals and brought her team back from behind!  The U6 kids just run up and down the field screwing around and all of a sudden the U7 girls GET IT and the soccer games are actually REALLY exciting and not just funny!  Jesse said he enjoyed my reaction watching her score those goals more than the actual game itself. I was QUITE excited. Let's hope that fire in her continues ;).

Oh, anyone have any brilliant ideas on how to teach a kid to ride a bike without training wheels?  Is it just something they all of a sudden GET? Or does it take a ton of practice?  Emily still is not there yet, but she is a little old to be riding with training wheels!

Presley started Preschool. The first two weeks we had to pry her off of our legs to get her to go, but yesterday she went with no tears! Definetly different than Emily and Kaylee who are SO independent and have never met a stranger. They had no problems ever going to school or even getting on a big yellow school bus with a bunch of strangers. Here are the kiddos waiting for Emily's school bus  (Damn those Robinsons! Bringing down the property value with all those half naked kids running around!

Here she is playing with the neighbors worms. They have a worm garden in their garage... I think it because they like to fish.

Jude. Sweet baby Jude. Terrible Twos. Enough said.

And one last picture. Presley and Jude playing hide n go seek. They hide here about 9 out of 10 times.

Yep that's my kids flying through the air. I forgot to brag (cause who I am kidding, its totally bragging) about Jude being TWO and being able to swim all the way across the pool in my last post.
The kids have all recently have developed an affinity for swimming in their clothes. Or half their clothes as you can tell.
In order, Presley, Jude, Emily, and Kaylee.

Gotta go, Jude is screaming at me to look at Swiper the Fox' page on Facebook.

I lost my Mojo

So somewhere along the line I lost my mojo with this blog, hence the few and far between updates lately. I need to find it. In the meantime, I think Jesse should start updating it. After all, he was an English minor in college and IS one of the funniest people I know. So what do you think? I think he needs a little encouragement... so let's hear from you!! Should he start updating it with me?

And while I am posing a question, let me ask this one I also put on facebook. Just how tacky do you think I am- asking guests to bring a donation to Kaylee's college fund in lieu of a gift when they come to her birthday party?  Come on, be honest!

I CANNOT BELIEVE SUMMER IS ALMOST OVER AND SCHOOL STARTS MONDAY!!!

Some fun pix from the summer.

I signed Emily up for theater arts classes at the Y this summer. This is from Wizard of Oz.

From Harrison's bday party...

One of our favorite activities...

Sweet baby Jude. Total Daddy's boy!

And some pix from blueberry picking. It was only about 159 degrees outside. Holy crap it was hot that day!
This is what my hair looked like too after being that heat and humidity... there just wasn't a picture of it.

This is the only way road trips are bearable

They broke the DVD player in the car, so we use my laptop to show movies. You'll never see Emily and Presley curled up like this unless they are watching the tube.

Yes, that is Presley's car seat next to her and yes, that IS a door jammed in the back of my Suburban. Safety first!!
If there are any safety police that happen to be looking at this blog- the car wasn't in motion, heh heh.
