I lost my Mojo

So somewhere along the line I lost my mojo with this blog, hence the few and far between updates lately. I need to find it. In the meantime, I think Jesse should start updating it. After all, he was an English minor in college and IS one of the funniest people I know. So what do you think? I think he needs a little encouragement... so let's hear from you!! Should he start updating it with me?

And while I am posing a question, let me ask this one I also put on facebook. Just how tacky do you think I am- asking guests to bring a donation to Kaylee's college fund in lieu of a gift when they come to her birthday party?  Come on, be honest!

I CANNOT BELIEVE SUMMER IS ALMOST OVER AND SCHOOL STARTS MONDAY!!!

Some fun pix from the summer.

I signed Emily up for theater arts classes at the Y this summer. This is from Wizard of Oz.

From Harrison's bday party...

One of our favorite activities...

Sweet baby Jude. Total Daddy's boy!

And some pix from blueberry picking. It was only about 159 degrees outside. Holy crap it was hot that day!
This is what my hair looked like too after being that heat and humidity... there just wasn't a picture of it.

  2. OK- I have been saying it for a while...COLLEGE DONATIONS ROCK!!!! With as many friends as we have and the rate we are multiplying I feel like I'm at a toy store at least once a month getting gifts. Not that I don't love getting prizes for kiddos but geez, Lillybug is only 14 months and has toys scattered in every room of the house. PROPS to you and Laura for being the brave ones to get this going. I will proudly donate money to help our future...Thespian, President, Educator, and Pro Golfer ;-)!!!

  3. i'm all for jesse updating the blog - i feel like i need a man's voice in childrearing to read. (all my other blogs are from female friends). besides, we need someone to tell more stories on you! :)

as for the college fund thing, i agree with diminishing the number of crap-tastic plastic toys and barbies and stuff, but I think I would struggle with people feeling like they need to give a certain amount of $ in order to feel loved, like you are good friend, etc. maybe an explicit "no gifts, or no college donations over $10.00". (or some other number you feel is appropriate) just an honest thought :) because let's face it - if someone is struggling with $, whether it's a gift made in china or actual cash, it could still be an issue.

love the blog and the photos - looks like a regular day in doha! (minus the fun blueberry picking) miss you!

  4. Hey Robinson Family! I would gladly donate $ for the kiddos college fund in leiu of a toy or clothes that will be grown o ut of and gotten bored with in a coupole weeks! LOL I wish I had the you know whats to ask for this. I feel like some of my friends would think I had gone a bit crazy if I gave this as a gift and said make sure to put this in so-in-so's college fund but mayeb I'll try it sometime!
